SSM: How to make a terrarium

One of the best things about our studio is the gorgeous glass collections! We have just about any color and shape you could imagine! A while back we spotted this beauty:

Earlier this week we decided to play around and make a few terrariums as Lisa from Sweet Pea Flowers will be creating succulent centerpieces and bouquets for an upcoming wedding.

Our favorite place to shop for succulents in the Denver area is Southwest Gardens in Wheat Ridge. Kerry, the owner, is so in tune to his plants and incredibly knowledgeable. He grows all of his own succulents and has a very impressive selection.

We kept our terrariums basic using a thin layer of charcoal and a thicker layer of dirt, topping everything off with a big drink of water.

Busy Bees Make Beautiful Flowers

We have been busy bees here at the studio, putting together flowers for six weddings this weekend!  Whew!  Thankfully, working around this much beauty never gets tiring.
Flowers and aprons - we love the mix of colors and patterns!

Is there a happier color than yellow?  We think not.  These beautiful arrangements have such a fun, young feel to them!
By adding some lillies and orchids, and just a pop of black for color and texture, Queen Bee Lisa of Sweet Pea Flowers gave the bride's bouquet a grown-up, elegant feel.
Fresh peach flowers and stone - gorgeous!

Come by the Studio and see what we can create for your big day!!
